Lucy Hale looks very elegant in her blue Julian Macdonald dress for the 2015 Teen Choice Awards. But if you take a closer look at Lucy it is her makeup that is truly stunning! Lucy is Avon’s mark brand beauty ambassador and mark helped Lucy to get ready for the event.
From Allure Magazine, “Her makeup artist, Kelsey Deenihan, told Avon’s Beauty For a Purpose she used mark. On the Edge Full Size Hook Up Liquid Eyeliner in Blue Chrome to rim her entire top lid and her bottom lashes to create the striking look… “When going for a matchy-matchy makeup look I tend to pull the main color out of the dress and match one key element to that color with the makeup,” says Deenihan. “With Lucy, I didn’t want the blue on the eye to be overpowering or too costume-y so I kept the brightest blue right at the top and bottom lash lines. The gray and navy eyeshadow on the lid and in the crease was for definition.” …She finished the look with two coats of mark. Lash Act Build and Define Mascara and illuminated Hale’s face with mark. Glowdacious Illuminating Powder in Amped Up.“ (allure)
From Avon’s beauty for a purpose, As for the star’s makeup, “the Teen Choice Awards are a fun event so we definitely wanted to try something a bit different with Lucy’s makeup look,” says mark. Celebrity Makeup Artist Kelsey Deenihan. “I wanted to incorporate a bold color onto the eyes. Wanting a matching moment, navy and cobalt blue seemed to be the perfect combo for Lucy’s Julien Macdonald blue and black dress.” (Avon’s beauty for a purpose)
Hale also rocked the perfect hairstyle for a hot, muggy Los Angeles night. Stylist Kristin Ess created a sleek, low ponytail that had zero traces of frizz . Instead of an elastic, Ess added some flair by using a matching cobalt blue hair clip that looks an awful lot like the Sylvain Le Hen Hairclip 077. (allure)
“Lucy is like one of those unicorn clients,” says hairstylist Kristin Ess. “She’s never afraid to try new things, she doesn’t get stuck wearing one look forever, she looks good in any hairstyle and she makes me laugh so hard while we work.”
“You couldn’t ask for more in a client. We very much understand each other’s aesthetic, so styling her or translating what she wants is never a problem,” Ess says of taking Lucy’s long, low ponytail to extra-gorgeous status. (avon.beautyforapurpose)
